  • Special admission outside the quota, selected by document screening only (100%, no interview or written exam). Two tracks: (1) ‘Pure-Foreign-National’ — both the applicant and both parents must hold foreign nationality (Korean dual nationals ineligible), run by the Office of International Affairs, twice yearly for Spring (March) and Fall (September) intake, per the official English admissions guideline (2026-Fall). (2) ‘Overseas Korean’ track (also covering applicants who completed the full curriculum abroad and North Korean defectors) — run separately by the Admissions Office (eligibility differs from the pure-foreign track; may include applicants with one foreign parent or overseas-Korean status — check the individual guideline for exact eligibility).

[K-culture, Korean track] ① TOPIK Level 3+ ② Seowon Korean Language Test Level 3 ③ KIIP Level 3 (61+ points) or higher ④ completion of the King Sejong Institute Foundation’s Beginner 1 course. [K-culture, English track — Global Communication Major] ① IELTS 5.5+ ② TOEFL iBT 59+ (for test dates before 2026.1.20; the new scoring system’s 3.5+ applies for test dates from 2026.1.21 onward) ③ NEW TEPS 202+ ④ CEFR B2+ (nationals of English-speaking/official-English countries — US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa — are exempt from the language score requirement upon submitting a graduation certificate). D-2-2 visa holders currently enrolled in Korea who apply via the Korean track must submit proof of TOPIK Level 3+ (applications without it will not be accepted).
