- Foreign special admission for applicants whose applicant AND both parents hold foreign nationality.
- Two tracks: Freshman Admission and Transfer Admission (3rd-year entry).
- Selection by document screening only (transfer adds departmental review/possible interview).
- Non-quota (no fixed limit).
- General departments (Korean-taught): meet ONE of — TOPIK Level 3 or higher (valid as of Sept 1, 2026)
- completion of Level 4+ in the KNU Korean Language Program
- or completion of KIIP Level 3+ / pre-evaluation score 61+ / King Sejong Institute Intermediate 1+ (local institute certificate only).
- Graduation requires TOPIK Level 4+.
- Department of Global Convergence (English Track): TOEFL iBT 71 / IELTS Academic 5.5 / New TEPS 327, valid as of Sept 1, 2026 (native-English-country applicants exemptible).
- Department of Global Convergence (English Track), fully English-taught, majors: General Engineering, Global Business, Marine Biotechnology (majors assigned in 2nd year).
- Freshman only (no transfer).
- English requirement: TOEFL iBT 71 / IELTS Academic 5.5 / New TEPS 327
- applicants from native/official-English-language countries may be exempted.
- 6.9 : 1 for Korean applicants (general track, 2025 disclosure) — the foreign track is screened separately
