Who can apply
  • International students enrolled at Korean universities/graduate schools who either demonstrate excellent academic performance OR have financial need.
  • Priority focus on students from Korean War participant nations, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Central Asia.
  • Candidates are recommended/nominated (not direct self-application) by their country’s embassy in Korea, and by schools/educators/prominent figures
  • final approval by the Board of Directors.

How to apply
  • Nomination/recommendation-based, not a direct public application.
  • Recipients are recommended by (1) their home country’s embassy in Korea, (2) school administrators, educators and prominent figures, or (3) special decision of the Board of Directors.
