Eligibility
Who can apply
- Foreign (international) students enrolled at Korea’s science-and-technology specialized universities — GIST, UNIST, and DGIST — primarily graduate students (master’s / doctoral).
- Students from low-income / developing countries are given preference.
- Recipients study STEM fields such as biotechnology, earth & environmental engineering, artificial intelligence, and energy chemical engineering.
Nationalities
- International students from developing / low-income countries (preferred).
- Recent recipients came from Myanmar, Uzbekistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Pakistan.
How to apply
Application period
- Selection takes place around February
- scholarship is disbursed in February and August each year.
- A specific 2026 foreign-student round notice could not be confirmed (unverified).
How to apply
- Students do NOT apply directly to the Lotte Foundation.
- Candidates are recommended/nominated by their university (GIST, UNIST, or DGIST).
- Prospective students should apply through / inquire with their university’s international student support office. (Direct-application procedure is not published by the Foundation.)
