Benefits
- One-time (lump-sum) scholarship.
- 2026 plan: KRW 1,500,000 per undergraduate recipient (track).
- Prior 2025 second-half round reported KRW 800,000 per recipient (unverified).
- Note: the separate Science track pays ~KRW 2,000,000 and the Kkumdoli track ~KRW 5,000,000, but those are general tracks, not international-student-specific.

Eligibility
Who can apply
- International (non-Korean) students enrolled in a regular undergraduate program at a university located in Daejeon, with outstanding academic performance who serve as a model in society.
- Based on prior official announcements: must have maintained at least B0/B+ GPA in the immediately preceding semester and be recommended by the university president / international office.
- Overseas Koreans, students on leave of absence / graduated / in excess semesters, those who took fewer than 12 credits in the prior semester, disciplined students, and recipients of full-tuition scholarships are excluded. (Detailed 2026 criteria confirmed only when the announcement is published, expected ~September 2026.)

How to apply
Application period
- 2026 selection plan posted on the portal ~late March 2026. Individual track announcements: ~April 2026
- ~September 2026.
- Exact 2026 international-student window not yet published as of July 2026. (Prior years: e.g., 2024 second-half application deadline was Oct 11.)
How to apply
- Online application on the Daejeon Youth Portal (daejeonyouthportal.kr), followed by submission of supporting documents.
- For the foreign-student scholarship, intake and recommendation are handled through each university’s International Office.
- Selection flow: announcement → online application → document screening → review → award.
- Documents are non-returnable.
Required documents
- Application form, recommendation/award-confirmation form, consent form, official transcript, certificate of enrollment, resident/registration document
- and a TOPIK II score report is required for the international-student track (per prior official announcements
- confirm against the current-year).
