Hansung University Korean Language Education Center. Per the official English admissions page (global_en/885), undergraduate students who do not hold TOPIK Level 3+ at the time of admission must complete a Korean language improvement program of at least 300 hours per year after enrollment.

- Pure Foreign National New/Transfer Special Admission — applicant AND both parents must hold foreign nationality (dual Korean/foreign nationals and stateless persons are NOT eligible).
- Selection by document screening (100%), with department-specific interview for some tracks.
- Administered by Hansung University Admissions Office via UWAY Apply portal (www.uwayapply.com).
- This track is separate from Hansung’s ‘Special Admission for Overseas Koreans & Foreigners’ (Overseas Koreans & Foreigners Admission), which is largely for Korean nationals who grew up abroad.
- Hansung also operates a distinct ‘Global Talent College’ exclusively for international students with 5 majors (Korean Language & Culture Education, Global K-Business, Time-based Media & Entertainment, Fashion Beauty Creation, SW Convergence) — it is unclear (unverified) whether this uses the same admission calendar/process as the Foreign Special Admission above.
Language requirements
- General requirement for Foreign Special Admission: TOPIK Level 3+ (most majors) or Level 4+ for some IT/AI-related majors within.
- Multiple alternative qualifying criteria are listed per major/track in the official guideline, including: completion of Level 3+ (or 4+ for some majors) at a university-affiliated Korean language institute, TOPIK Level 2+ for certain International-focused majors, Social Integration Program completion, and — for a subset of majors — TOEFL PBT 530 / iBT 59 / IELTS 5.5+ as an alternative to Korean proficiency.
- TOPIK scores must be valid (issued within the last 2 years and valid through at least 2026.3.31 per the guideline).
- Applicants without TOPIK 3+ at admission must complete 300+ hours/year of Korean coursework after enrollment.
