Language requirements
- UG: TOPIK level 3+ (arts/PE: level 2+), or King Sejong Institute Intermediate 1+ (arts/PE Beginner 2+), or domestic 4-yr univ language institute level 3+, or 1+ yr D-4 study, or MOJ Social Integration stage 3+/pre-test 61+, or SMU’s own Korean test
- graduation requires TOPIK 4+ (arts/PE 3+).
- Grad: TOPIK level 3+ or King Sejong Korean level 2+ (may apply without it
- oral-exam evaluation + mandatory 200hrs Korean classes if admitted, self-funded).
- SMU is an MOE Education-Internationalization Certified University (2026-2030) with GKS selection preference
- designated-university status (unverified).
